Adobe Elements Trial - Subtitles - Text

I am trying to see if Adobe Elements Premiere supports the ability to add subtitles.  I downloaded the free trial, but when I try to replace the text it appears to delete the existing text but anything I type in does not appear.  Is this a problem with the trial version, or does it not support subtitles.  I have a Spanish video that needs English subtitles.

You can put titles in any font, in any size, any place on the screen.  Each has to be a separate title and treated like a separate media file. The trial is not restricted other than the output videos will have an Adobe logo on them. 

I can try to walk you through it, but it will probably go faster if you watch a couple tutorials:
