Adobe Premiere Elements 14 - exporting 4K but generating 500mb small file

Hi,

I haven't used Premiere much as bought to use Photoshop but lately GoPro Studio trial expired and I am back to other options thought I should give Premiere a test on combining clips.

I tried exporting with the following configuration, 4K 200mbps and file size 12GB see screenshot included.

For some reason Premiere is exporting a low quality 500-600mb file, including full 8 mins of video but not the 12GB file. A very low quality version that cannot be used anywhere.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and how I can fix this?

Set workarea bar over entire timeline and check it in the export settings.

The file is so small as the bitrate is only 49.2 and not 200.

Why do you want 200 Mbps.

What Mb are the gopro avi's or rather the original?

Correct for some reason Premiere is rendering small file.

Original source is GoPro 5 Session camera, 2K footage, for 8 mins total source file size could be between 4-6GB.

I tried switching it to Med quality up to 6GB size but still producing 500mb file.

What does the bitrate say of the 2nd file?

Might want go into Custom and set up a custom export.

Any idea why it is not working with the standard approach, should be easy peasy?

This is Elements 14 I cannot test this anymore.

Got it working with Custom Export copying Source Format.

For some reason Premiere didn't like the standard 4K Export option.
