When making slide show videos, I include iinformation text/clips as explanatory note.  I choose Classic titles since it has a plain default black background and ample space for information.  The text color can be changed but I have not discovered a way to change the background color as could be done with APE9.  The preset Text/Clip do not provide a means to change the background color.  Has anyone discovered a way to change the bakcground color from default black to another?

I use "Default Text" in "Classic Titles - General".  When viewed by itself, the background looks black.  That is because the blackness is the absence of everything.   When the title is put above the main video track on Video 2, you "see through" the empty blackness to the video below.   Nothing but the text shows.

If you want a background.  Put a color matte on Video 2 and the title on Video 3.  You can control the opacity or size of the color matte to suit your project.
