Isi it possible to balance audio in MULTIPLE clips in Premiere Elements 2020?
I have PE 2014 and am thinking of upgrading if the audio editing faciilities are more powerful.

Thanks

If you're asking if you can mix the levels of several audio sources, yes you can.

Thanks for getting back.

What I was trying to discover is if, in PE 2020, you can balance multiple clips all in one operation. With PE 2014, I have to go clip by clip adjusting the volume.

Thanks,

Michael

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "in one operation". But the tools for mixing audio are the same in version 2020 as they are in version 14, if that's what you're asking.

Thank you Steve.

I have just edited a film with about 50 clips. In order to normalise the sound I have had to adjust the clips one by one which is very time-consuming. I was wondering if it might now be possible to select all 50 clips and then apply a ‘normalise’ operation to them all in one go.

I don't think Normalize works like that.

The answer is yes.

Select all clips.

Right click > Clip > Audio Gain > Normalize.

Thank you so much Ann for your knowledgeable answer.

That works perfectly.

Can you suggest a good (for the layman) article on ‘normalising’ sound?

Thanks again
