Blank (hole) on timeline after deleting a scene?

I deleted a video scene from the timeline and now have a hole (blank area) on the timeline where the scene used to be. HELP!!! When I play the video from start to finish I have this blank black area where the previous scene used to be. How can this be corrected?

The basic technique is to right click on the gap and choose "Delete and Close Gap". 

There are other variations using the extra keys with the Delete button.  And, it varies with the type of track.  You can find more complete information with a google search for "Premiere Elements ripple editing".
