Cant find my video file - says in users/myname but not there

Hello, I try and import to timeline (I did before) but it says already imported at C/users/myname - but its not there...? Any suggestions, weitd how I cant find file, thks, Jeff

You say "import to timeline." Are you trying to open a project (File/Open) or import video or audio into a project (Add Media)?

The process is very different -- as is where these files are located.

Even when I click on send to timeline, it won't do it, says file already
