Is it possible to capture video content directly in Premier Elements 2019 from a Canon HV20 camcorder?  By capture I mean play the tape with the video content on the camcorder while connected to Elements via a IEEE1394 cable.  When I select "Add Media" in Premier Elements 2019 I do not see an option for this.  I only see  "from Element Organizer" and From files and folders".  In Premier Elements version 11 I saw options that appeared to be for capture from a camcorder.  Since upgrading to 2019 I do not.

This feature was removed from Premiere Elements several versions ago.

However video can be captured over a FireWire connection using the free download HDV Split and this video will be captured in a format that will edit easily in Premiere Elements.
