When using the horizontal type tool to create a text box in a new layer, the cursor will randomly appear in the upper left handle, not in the text box.  Pasting in text results in a miniscule, unreadable font size.  The tet is set for font size 18.  Closing the program and reopening it does not help.  What causes this, and more importantly, how to I fix it?  Michaele

You should post this question to the Photoshop Elements forum then.

Meantime, be sure to indicate if you are using a ultra-high definition monitor. And do say which operating system you're running the program on. These things can make a huge difference!

I have searched for a forum for Photoshop elements 15, and there are several, but none of them have a button enabling a post.
