Hi,

I try to make a film with several .mts files and Adobe Premiere Elements 16.0 (2018)

I importe the first file in a new project, and then read, there is a lag of perhaps less than one second between the sound and the images.

I try to change the parameters of the project but the same issue again and again ....

The properties of the file :

1440x1080,

9340kb/s

25.00 trames/s

48 000Hz

From a Sony camrecorder HDR CX 700 VE 5.1, 25p

There is no more support by phone for this recent version...

Can someone help me ?

Please try two things:

In Edit > Preferences > General, turn off the Hardware Acceleration.

Then, in Edit > Preferences > Audio Hardware, try changing the Default Input and Output to other choices, including None.

Thank you.

It seems to be a good idea, but it doesn't work.

The first parameter has no effect and when I change the second (audio hardware) I don't have sound any more.

There is other parameters in Edit > Preferecnes > Audio, but I don't know exactly what they do.

I tried to change some of them without success.

I just try to add another .mts file, and there is exactely the same lag.

As if the video is to speed compared to the sound.

MTS videos have Dolby 5.1 sound.  Are you starting the project with the first clip being one of your MTS files?  That creates the project settings.  If doing it differently, the project settings might not match the MTS clips.

Yes, the mts file is the first scene of the projet.

Exactly, I create a new project, then I have to choose the format between :

  • NTSC/PAL => PAL
  • AVCHD / DSLR / HDV... => AVCHD
  • HD / Full HD, ... => HD 1080i 25 5.1 canal

and then "Force the project parameter ..." => I tried to select it or not

I even try to open the mts file from the explorer with Elements 2018.

Another solution should be to play with Tools > "Remappage temporel", but I'm afraid I have a bad rendering.

And if I separate the sound and images to extend the sound, the sound is bad too.

Try this:

1. Save the file in the same folder with all of its resources.

2. Quit.

3. Re-launch Premier Elements.

That usually works for me.

The issue appears in a new project when I add the mts file, without any other ressources.

I try to save the file in the same directory where Adobe Premiere Element is installed. No result.

There are a lot of parameters in the preferences of the project, it may be one of them ...
