DVD/Blu-Ray Menu text resets and ruins menus

This is a problem I have with trying to burn DVDs/ Blu-Rays (Premiere Elements 13). When creating menus I drag the text to the appropriate spot on the screen so it is visible (within 'TV safe zone'). However, when I burn the disc, I discovered that the text had been RESET to a spot that left it half-on/half-off the screen. This problem occurs both when I save the project and when I do not. It has ruined many discs. How do I prevent this? Open to ideas.

What is the format and resolution of your original video?

If you look under Premiere Elements' Edit menu, what is listed on the General page under Project Settings?

Dear Steve:

To answer your question - the orginal video format is AVI; resolution is 1920 x 1080. (2 video files were being burned to a Blu-Ray).

I have attached a screenshot of the 'General' Page under 'Project Settings'.

A 1920x1080 AVI is pretty unusual. I wonder what codec it uses. Can you open one of your AVIs in the free download MediaInfo? In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the report that it generates and paste it to this forum. This will tell us more about what your AVI is made out of, which can be an important clue as to what is going on.

I can't read the screenshot you posted though. So I'll also still need you to tell me which project settings are listed for your project.

Beyond that, Peru Bob's suggestion is also a good one as it will show you where things are going wrong. Though I still suspect it's related to that unusual source video you're using.

" It has ruined many discs."

I know it doesn't answer your question, but I always burn to a rewriteable before burning to the final disc in case there is something that needs to be changed.

Dear Bob:

Are there rewritable Blu-Rays? This is something I've never seen for sale.

These avi's are computer generated.

avc codec in an avi wrapper might be a problem for Elements.

Try converting them to mp4 with Handbrake.

Dear Ann:

Thank you for your reply. Handbrake is not something I've heard of, is it a file conversion app?
