Are you asking "how" or "if" you can edit 4K video.  Steve has already replied that you can. 

If it is "how", the answer is, "the same as any other video".  If you are using typical cameras like from Sony or Panasonic, the 4K format is a common H.264 codec in a MP4 container.  

There are some exceptions.  Some phones and action cameras (like GoPro) may use some specialized formats that need some extra work.
