Hi,

Wanted to ask here.....can you do custome effects in premiere elements(PE).

I used an Text effect in PowerDirector wherein a small text bar flies in from bottom left of the sceen. You can write text on it but the bar itself has a background(not the ecreen but the bar itself)  which has some leaves or maybe petals flying. I know in  PE you have a text effect where in a bar of text flies in from bottom left but can you add animation to the background of the bar itself. Thank you for your help in advance.

Thanks

Yes, you can create animations like that. But it won't be a template. You'll need to create the animation for each element in the title on a separate video track using keyframing. In fact, if you're planning to including flying leaves or any complicated animation in the background, Premiere Elements is probably not the best tool to use. Why not use PowerDirector to create the title sequence, export it as an MP4 of MTS file and then import the finished title into Premiere Elements?
