How to add a jpg to video while retaining audio

I have a video of me talking and I want to add charts (jpgs) to it at various places while retaining the audio.

Adding a choice to Bob's suggestions is to put the JPEG on the timeline in a track above the primary video of you talking.  The audio will continue but the JPEG will "cover" the video.

Unlink the audio and video:

  • To unlink video and audio clips, select a linked clip and choose Clip > Unlink Audio And Video. (Though the audio and video are unlinked, they are both still selected. Reselect either clip to use it separately.)
