Nothing that I know of has changed.
What is your hardware acceleration setting? On or off? What are your project settings and output settings.

Hi, Thanks for your reply.
Since I posted my question I have managed to find a way
round the issue. When I first upgraded to the 2018 version I tested a 3 minute -
mod video – from my camera and it worked ok, rendered the same speed and was
normal. Then I deleted the old premier elements 14 to give me more space on my
hard drive. That was then when it was taking ages to render a 1 minute video,
after 20 minutes it had done only 20% so I gave up. I then run the mod video
through “Handbrake” to convert it to a MP4 file and that same file works fine. Since
then I have created several 20 minute videos and were rendered in a few minutes.
The new 2018 version will render MP4
files ok but not from my camera mod files. Something has changed in the new version.
I hope Adobe can correct it to work like the 14 version. Using “handbrake” to
convert to MP4 files is not the way I want to continue as it is extra work to
edit video. It should work the same as version 14 as no settings have changed
on my machine I only upgraded. It seems that the 2018 version used some file or
files from version 14 until I deleted it.
Regards Gordon

Adobe told me they would call me back and send the weird files it was producing to their tech's, then email me, but nothing.....no call.....no email....
