mp4 files imported to premiere elements are shown with strange black backrounds

Hi there, some of my files, recorded with iPHONE, are with black Background as soon as i Import them to premiere elements (10). I use Windows 10. Do I have to upgrade to Premiere Elements 15? Has anyone the same Problems?thanks for helping. dominic

Premiere Elements 10 was pretty much designed to work with camcorder video only.

I'd definitely recommend downloading the free trial of version 15 to see if it makes a difference. And it should!
