Hi,
I am a new user of Premiere Elements
I am looking for a new computer. In the system requierement and in the forums, I cannot find how the multi-core CPUs are efficient in premiere elements 2019. What is the best way? AMD is with more cores but lower Ghz than Intel.
If it can help, I also work with Photoshop/Lightroom CC and i am not a gamer.
Thank you for your feedback
José
For HD editing, I usually recommend a processor that scores at least 6,000 - 8,000 on this benchmark chart.
For editing 4K, I'd go with a processor that rates at least 10,000.
The number of cores and clock speed aren't standardized anymore, so they alone don't tell you much. Only benchmark ratings tell you how much power your computer has.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for your answer and link.
This is very interesting, I did a PassMark Performance test with my old i7-2600k (overclocked, turbo 4.43 GHz). The result is 10,673, impressive for a CPU 7 years old.
If I check the chart, comparing with my CPU, I can now mesure the expected performance with the CPUs available on the market.
Enjoy New Year's Eve
