I just started using Premiere Elements.  I am loving it so far.

I did notice that sometimes when I record a voice narration(using my snowball black ice mic), sometimes it is saved as 44khz and other times it is 48khz.

Can someone please tell me why does it switch between the two.  I can I force it to always save the audio in 48khz??

Usually 48K sampling is for monaural audio and 44.1K is for stereo. But the difference between the two is virtually insignificant. Either should work.

Thank you for responding.  Do you know what triggers the switch/change?

I mean I just plug my mic in and start talking/doing my voice overs.

And I don't understand why in some cases it is 44.1 vs 48?  I would like to control that if possible.
