This is a new purchase/install as of 4/2/2020. I open an .mp4 file and it plays fine in the editor. I trim off the front and back then save to an mp4 file. New file's audio is out of sync when played back. As a test I opened the newly exported file back into premiere to see if the audio was correct. It was not. The audio becomes out of sync when I export. (HD 720) Also tried Higher quality setting. No change.

I need help with this fast.

Thank you

If the files are variable framerate they most of the time go out of sync.

Run the files through Handbrake and set it to Constant Framerate before importing into Elements.

I agree with Ann. It sounds like your video has a variable frame rate.  Although version 2020 should be able to work with it. Are you using version 2020? On what operating system?

Open one of your 1280x720 videos in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy this text and paste it to this forum. Once we know the specs of your video we'll be better able to advise you.

As we suspected, the issue is that your video has a variable frame rate.

Although version 2020 should be able to work with this type of video, there is something about your video that isn't allowing it to. The easiest solution is to convert the video with Handbrake, as Ann suggested.

I ran it through Handbrake and it seems to work.
Case closed.
