Hi,

I have a DVD video that was created from an 8mm Sony camcorder. I have copied the VOB video file from the DVD onto my computer's hard drive and then opened the video in PE. The video works, however there is no sound. The audio track appears to be empty. I have tried converting the video to mp4, avi etc and nothing seems to work. The video and audio work fine on the TV from a memory stick. Is there an easy solution to fix this problem. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks

Which version of Premiere Elements are you editing with?

Open one of the VOB files from this disc in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the report that is generated and paste it to this forum.

There's good chance your VOB uses a sound format (AC3 for instance) that is no longer supported by Premiere Elements.

AC3 should not be a problem on W10.
