That camera is new enough that not a lot of people here are going to know for sure.

One thing that has come up here already is that the H.265 footage is not editable in Premiere Elements.

A lot may depend on your computer.  High files sizes can bring a marginal computer to its knees!

As an "action camera" the 60fps will allow more flexibility for "slow motion" playback.

In the end, you'll have to try the different settings with your computer.

AVCHD and Full HD are just the names. 1080p with 30 fps projects are also there that should work just fine. Best way to work is launch PRE and drop one video clip to timeline. PRE will switch to a project setting that is closest to clip properties. You can then save the project and keep on adding more assets to timeline.

If your gopro outputs are 4k, it will create 4k projects. H.265 support is there but only on Mac 10.13+ OS.

Mohammad,

Are you saying that all H.265 footage can be edited on a Mac?  The PrE 2019 marketing literature suggests only Apple's version of HEVC/H.265 is editable.

Thanks.

That's right. All standard H.265 footages can be edited on Mac 10.13.x. At least the popular ones (iPhone's and DJI Phantom's) were well tested and certified before releasing the product.

Thanks.  That's useful to know for future questions here.

Elements does not support 4K, it supports UHD (there is an difference)

If you drop a real 4K clip into the timeline you get a UDH timline with black bars top and bottom an not being able to use Shake reduction.

Unfortunately Gopro also calls UDH 4K.

The Elements team needs to adjust the Project Settings, make it suitable for real 4K.

PRE 2019 does support 4k, the ones with the frame dimensions 3840x2160. So, clips with these dimensions when imported to PRE with 4k project settings would not have black bars. Problem is that some devices capture 4k with sizes 4096x2160. These clips when imported in PRE have black bars and need to be scaled properly.

This is the reason why Shake Reduction is not working for those clips. The primary requirement for Shake Reduction it matching project settings (or dimension here).

Unfortunately, PRE so far does not have custom project settings for every dimension of clips.
