Première éléments ou rush ?

Bonjour,

Plusieurs petites choses.

Merci.

Thierry B.

Version 4 of Premiere Elements is ancient, by technology standards. Nearly 12 years old, it doesn't even support most of today's video standards. If you are teaching video editing at a college level, you will definitely want to upgrade.

Although a lot depends on what operating system you are using, where the video you will be editing is coming from and how fast your computer processors are.

Version 12 or later will all edit AVCHD, 4K and video from most phones. The current version, Premiere Elements 2019, will even edit the latest iPhone video.

Once again, much depends on what model of camcorder your video is being recorded with and the specifications of your computers.

Thierry B,

I am relying on a Microsoft translation to reply to your question.  "première rush" translated to "first rush".

Adobe now has multiple video editing programs.  Premiere Pro is aimed at professionals and includes high level, complex tools.  Premiere Elements, the subject of this forum, is aimed at people who are serious about the quality but don't need professional complexity.  Premiere Pro is on a subscription basis and Premiere Elements has a one time purchase.  Both are computer based.

Premiere Rush is brand new.  It is in version 1.1.  As its name implies it is aimed at people who are in a hurry to get from shooting to publication sites like YouTube and Vimeo.  It integrates "cloud" server storage of files so that editing of the video can take place on phones, tablets and connected computers.  Optionally, videos can be imported and finished in Premiere Pro.   Premiere Rush can be used exclusively on a computer but, due to the "cloud" goals of the program functional tools are limited compared to Elements and Pro.

All three are really very different!

Bonjour.

There are "Student & Teacher" prices for Adobe products where you provide a copy of credentials.

For larger groups of students there are "enterprise" solutions.
