It's not better or worse. It is different.

The easiest, simplest editor is iMovie for the Mac and Video Editor for Windows. Video Editor is built into the operating system and comes loaded on any Windows 10 computer.

You can watch my 8 part Basic Training video to see how Premiere Elements works.

It depends on how you define simple -- and what exactly you're trying to do.

How do you 'clip' or adjust a video?  What are the steps?

1.  Grab the ends and move them.

2.  Review what you've done

3.  Adjust it by grabbing the ends or move on

"you used twitch yea? 1 of the biggest sites on teh web"

I'm not familiar so I searched.  I found " Twitch is a video live streaming service primarily focused on video game streaming."   My feeling is that Premiere Elements is primarily focused on video coming from cameras, and even phones, that will end up in places like YouTube, Vimeo or local memory devices for local playing.   If you goal is to edit video from game capture systems, there are probably better NLE choices.
