Hello, I am using high quality stereo audio tracks right from Cubase in an MP3 format. When i play the mp3 file on my computer it is in true stereo but once I drop it into the timeline in Premiere Elements it immediately sums it to mono. I wondered if this was because in editing it doesn't play back audio in stereo so I rendered and exported a video of just my audio track and sure enough it's still only in mono. Any ideas? (Using Adobe Premiere Elements 2018 on a PC running Windows 10)

I don't know anything about Cubase and what type of formatting (or copy protection) they're using on their MP3s.
Open the MP3 in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the report it generates and paste it to this forum. Once we know what the specs of the audio file are, we'll better be able to advise you.
