does anyone know if you can import  a project created in elements into a word document

I don't think so, but maybe I don't understand the question. 

This is the Premier Elements forum.  Premiere Elements makes videos.  Word is what I use to make paper documents and I don't know how to put a video in a paper document.

Not Word, but if you export to the correct format you can import this file into Power Point.
