But the problem really is user-knowledge, as Ann Bens pointed out. You have to know to uncheck the auto-scaling box that you might not know is there to begin with ...

For the graph to fit you need to toggle ON the automatic range rescaling.

For properly using the horizontal slider you uncheck Pin to Clip.
