Effect Panel crashes Premiere Pro Beta

So I was trying the latest beta and upon clicking on any clip (doesn't matter if its a clip that I drag in from somewhere or if I generate a "black video" or a "bars and tone" and what have you) it crashes the app.

I tested further and it turns out that it does not crash when the Effects Panel is closed. Then I played around even further and it turns out that it won't crash when the right side of the effects panel is collapsed.

Now I am very close to figuring out what setting this is caused by but so far I did not have any luck. If I reset my preferences then everything works as it should.

Additionally, this only happens when something is selected. If nothing is selected then there is no crash.

Does anybody have an idea what setting could possibly affect the right side of the panel? Will be experimenting further and post any new findings here.
