Lag after trimming

Premiere Pro Beta 25.2 (Build 117), 50 clips, total lenght of the sequence is 08 mins, 4k, SSD, preview 1/8, good hardware.

When I do trim a clip (at the beginning of the sequence), it lags up to 10-20 seconds for the preview to update. There is no such lag in the end of the sequence, it works much faster. So, I have to create nested sequences to make editing possible.

No such lag in Premiere Pro 25.1.0 stable, it works smooth.

Tried:
1. Switching color spaces (currently, using Wide Gamut and ACEScct).
2. Proxies.
3. Turned off Visual Analysis, Transcription, etc.
4. All of the other settings are equal to the stable version.

This applies to any changes to the timeline, including color grading via adjustment layer.

The same issue as discussed in this topic.
The bug persists specificly in Beta 25.2.
Rolled back to Beta 25.1, works stable.

Updating to 25.3 didn't solve the issue.

Did you try with 25.3.0 build 3?

What if you set Pause and Playback resolution to Full and turn on High Quality Playback?

Finally Preferences/Audio Hardware set Default Input to No Input?

@MyerPj
Thanks for suggestions.
Yes, 25.3.0 build 3

1. Tried Pause and Playback resolution different options.
2. Turned on/off High Quality Playback.
3. Switched Preferences/Audio Hardware to different options.

No difference in performance with any of these options.

Actually, it has become much faster than 25.2, but still much slower than 25.1. Now the lag is around 1-3 sec (25.2 it was up to 30 sec, 25.1 has no tangible lag).

You're welcome.

There has been some other posts around here regards lagging. See if you can find them, Adobe is aware on has worked on it. I'm not sure if it's the same as yours but you can check it.

FWIW: I've not seen anyone's machines work fast with those monitor settings. It does in AE, but so much in PP, so I suggest people leave it on full resolution. Cheers! 🙂
