MASK TOOL NOT WORKING AT ALL

Community Beginner ,
Nov 23, 2025 Nov 23, 2025

App Version:
Premiere Pro Beta 26.0

Platform & OS Version:
Windows 11 (Desktop PC)

None of the masks work at all.
Neither the new Object Mask tool nor the old traditional masks.
Whatever I click (ellipse, rectangle, pen, object mask) — nothing appears, nothing activates, and masks simply do not work.
They don’t show up in the preview, I can’t draw them, move them, or adjust them.
This happens on every clip and every project.

I restarted the app and the PC — same issue.

Please check this because in this Beta version masking is completely broken on my system.

If needed, I can send a screen recording.

Hello @filip_8545,. Can you please share a screen recording so we can hopefully resolve this issue?

I'm facing the same issue. It basically does nothing, can't click nor use that tool. I selected the tool as well as other options, but upon hovering it on the video it does nothing but works as a normal selection tool. Screenshot_210.png

@Cyber Exodus In your case, the Mask Tools (and other tools) are not working as you have Motion enabled (note the blue outline in the Program Monitor). If you deselect Motion in the ECP or click Toggle direct manipulation in bottom left of Program Monitor, you should now be able to use Mask Tools.

Hope this helps.
