Rendering from dv avi to sd h264 en mpeg extreem slow

With adobe media encoder I noticed that rendering dv avi to SD h264 or mpeg takes much longer time then expected.

This happens both with beta and the released version.

When you drop an dv.avi in the AMC

and set output h264 match source rendering pauses quite often.

Cc2019 is much faster!

Steps to repro,

Drop an 10 minute DV avi Pal SD interlaced in the AMC.

Set match source high q h264.

Start rendering.

  1. Result rendering does not go at full speed to the end, it pauses quite often.
  2. It does not matter if you dissable cuda.

Match source will set the export to lower field. Are you sure you want that?

You usually set your fields to progressive.

yes, that's right for PAL DV25 avi's.

(720x576 interlaced lower field first)

We want to keep the interlacing, to get smooth playback

I just tested with a brand new Win11 laptop with AME cc2023 beta and cc2022

I could repro this problem with AME cc2023, while AME cc2022 just renders in one run without pauses.

With AME cc2023 release and beta it seems it choked with data while rendering

This is the link to a test AVI

Tested on beta build 55

I filled up a 20 min timeline with all short avi's.

Same export settings and it did choke quite often, cpu dropped to 4%

20 min timeline took 5.30 min.

I also dropped the avi files direct in AME, without using Premiere.
