Transcriptions aren't saved in project folder

Not sure if this is a bug or feature or rather a couple of bugs:

First, where are transcriptions saved in this version - if I save the project and reopen it on the same machine the transcriptions load fine. If I copy the entire project folder onto another machine, the transcriptions are lost.

So, I export the transcription with a view to opening it on the other machine.

In the transcription options, Import is greyed out when there is no existing transcription. Worse that that, if I do a new transcription the import option then appears but not for the native Premiere transcription format, only a 'Corrected transcription' from a text file. If I do that then empty padding is added to each line of the transcription which whilst not directly affecting the playback or editing does seem a bit odd.

Any suggestions firstly where the project working transcription files are actually being saved. In the cache folder maybe?

Hi,

I'm currently looking into this issue and it would be great to get some more information on what you are seeing. What is likely happening is that when you are opening the project on a different machine we have to relink the media to the copied source files and are losing the transcripts in the process.
When opening the media on the new machine - did you have to go through the "Relink Media" dialog? Or was it opening completely on it's own before the transcripts disappeared?

Hi nbechere

Thanks for the reply.

TBH can't remember if I did or didn't need to relink media or not (sometimes we do dependent on whether all the assets are in the root project folder) but it looks like updates post this version seem to no longer have this particular problem - not sure what or why might have caused it but they seem to transfer across fine in the more recent updates.

Just a small point with regards to them not appearing, even the recent updates can still throw me as when the project is open sequences indicate no transcript initially and then once switching to another sequence and back again and then waiting quite a few seconds they then appear - can be confusing and might lead people to re-transcribe when they don't need to.
