Over the past several years, the audio team has been modernizing the Premiere Pro code base, improving the way that audio effects are handled in playback and making them much more efficient.
As a result of these improvements, we’ve removed the “Use Legacy audio effect playback pre-roll” option from the Audio Preferences menu. It was a temporary alternative and is now obsolete. This will not have an effect on your workflow as the new system has been modernized for real time playback for audio effects. We wanted to inform you of a change happening to the preferences.
The removal is effective in the current 24.3 Beta and will take effect with the next general release of Premiere Pro (24.3).
