Hi everyone, I’m running into a pretty bizarre issue with Premiere Pro Beta and I’m hoping someone here has seen this before.
I can open my project just fine in Beta — everything plays, I can edit, add effects, no problem. But the moment I try to export the timeline (like AAF or XML) or even just save as a new project, things get weird. Most of the time, Premiere throws an “unknown error” and crashes instantly. And on the rare occasions when it doesn’t crash and actually saves the file, that newly saved file becomes a ticking time bomb — I try to open it, and boom: instant crash.
So basically, I have a project I can edit, but I can’t export or safely save it, which kind of defeats the purpose of editing in the first place.
Has anyone run into this before with the Beta version? Is this a known bug, or is there a workaround I should try? Really don’t want to lose days of work to a ghost project that only lives in RAM.
Any help or ideas would be massively appreciated — thanks in advance!
