Very Basic Question!

Okay, I used Premiere Pro many years ago when my husband and I owned a video production company, so I'm not really new to the program, but I am new to this particular format. (We used it back when you had to buy the program on discs and install it on your hard drive! That's how long it's been!) So I'm rusty, but I'm getting to know this new, online format!

The issue I'm having right now seems SO BASIC that it almost seems silly to ask about it - I just can't see the video from my timeline playing in the Program monitor! Yesterday, I could see it but today I can't; it's just black. If I open the "Import" or "Export" window, then go back to the Editing view, then the Program window has the image from whatever window I opened in it. (See screenshot below)

I updated Premiere this morning, because the system said there was an update available, and I wonder if that's the issue? Or is there some simple setting that I'm missing?
