Audio showing in meters but no sound within premiere

I got a weird audio problem that occured from one day to the next, probably due to some update?

I have a lot of audio devices connected to my system but used my monitor speakers via a USB Interface most of the time. Those speakers are identifying themselves as "3 - USB Audio Codec":

They are working fine in Windows, in Resolve and in any other software I've tested. But in Premiere they stay silent lately. The meters show the audio output, but there's no sound on the speakers themselves. If I Alt-Tab to another application (while premiere is running) and test the same file, it's working. So it should not be an issue with the speakers, the interface or the drivers, but within premiere:

All other audio devices are working in premiere, just the interface is staying silent, regardless of what I'm trying. I've done so far:

- Set it as default in windows

- Checked the volume in windows, the mute/solo buttons in premiere and the volume dial on the interface

- Tried multiple (new) projects, playback from viewer and timeline

- Set and unset it as device in premiere

- Set another output and set it again in premiere

- Uninstall and Reinstalled Premiere

- Deactivated all other devices in windows sound control panel

- Even disconnected the cables on other devices

Premiere Version is 24.3.0 (Build 59).

Windows Version is Windows 10 V22H2 Build 19045.4291

I can't roll back to an older version of premiere due to client projects I have to do that won't be readable anymore then.

Make sure Default Input in the Audio Hardware in the Preferences is set to No Input.

Set it to "no input", tried it , restarted premiere, tried again. Sadly it doesn't seem to work.
