Caption clips the WRONG length

Participant ,
Oct 28, 2025 Oct 28, 2025

When I add captions to my video, the caption elements don't line up exactly with the video clips. This creates extra work to change the length of each one.

I have created a video to show the problem: https://somup.com/cT6u6r9F52

Is this actually a bug or is it meant to be like that?

Thanks

Hi @Harry S

Thanks for the video, super helpful.  I can see a replication of what you're seeing. I agree it's probably not a bug, but it's definitely a desired feature.  I don't have an answer for you now, but if you highlight the caption track along with the clip, you can trim them together.  Or, depending on how much adjusting you've done to them, you can regenerate the captions after the trims are done.
