Computer "Pops" and Restarts When Trying to Import More than 100 4K60 10-Bit 4:2:2 Video Clips

As the title says. When I import a lot of 4K60 H.265 10-bit 4:2:2 clips from an FX3, my computer will start to lag terribly before finally "popping," shutting down, and restarting itself. Anyone have an idea of what in my computer is causing this? I've been editing on this machine for years with various 4K60 files but now only ever have this issue using the max 4k60 200mbps h.265 files. I can import in smaller chunks and then work with them no problem.

Specs:

Premiere 2023.3.0 Build 61

Windows 10 Professional

PC Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jP79ZZ

Would love any insight. I can game and otherwise edit with zero issue, including 4K 10-bit multicams.

Importing into the program is not the same as editing.

Your machine most likely cannot handle that amount of data in one go.

You basically answered your own question: smaller chucks.
