Converting Production from V24 to V25 Fails everything

For context: I have a team of 9 people that are all working off of a shared server space, where the Production is stored. We are creating a doccumentary and are 2/3 of the way done editing, the whole production file is around 180GB. For other reasons we needed to update to Premeire Pro 25 on all our devices.

Here is the issue below:

Each time I click the: open production button --> choose Production and then I click on the produciton file  and it prompts the entire production file to be updated, normal so far. I click convert and it brings up a window with a progress bar, here it just freezes and crashes after about 5 mins. We have attempeted to convert it on serveral different devices of different specs and none of them work and It crashes each time.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this that would be amazing since we can't work on the doccumentary until it converts!

The bug (related to progress bar display) is already fixed in Beta builds, and will be fixed in the next official release.

180gb seems really big for this. What are the specs of the best machine that you've tried this on?

I'm with Rob ... that's a huge Productions file.

Are you storing the media inside the Production folder tree? Or in a perhaps parallel folder tree outside the Production, as is typically advised?

Yes, that is an enormous Production (I presume they stuffed the media in there for some reason?), but I feel pretty confident that the root of the problem is here:
