JPGs auto resize

I resized three images in my project to a smaller size, but after two seconds, they revert back to their original size automatically. I haven't used any keyframes to animate the size change. Is there a way to keep them at the resized dimensions?

For reference, I've attached images showing the issue (before and after).

Is there a red line on the timeline? If so...you could also try pressing return/enter to render and see if that helps.

No red line. I also tried closing the app or exporting the video to see if it was maybe a visual glitch, but it wasn't. The bug was present on the exported video as well.
