Leading in text style no longer accessible in 24.3

I use a text style to format captions.
My saved text style no longer allows me to access the syle which has adjusted leading and the leading option within the text panel in essential graphics is not accessible.

In the Beta product, the leading is accessible to change manually, but the style does not have my saved settings.

It is working for me. Leading is not available in some caption formats. I did not check all formats, but I see it only with the Subtitle format.

If you apply leading to a caption format that does not support it, the leading is ignored.

This does not appear to be an issue with the new text style browser, introduced in Release 24.3.0:

Thank you Stan,

I have set the format to "subtitle".

As this has worked for me in the past, it seems to be a bug now, as the style which I had saved and imported into my new project with specific leading is no longer showing up in the drop down menu.

If I go to the original project, the leading option shows up in the style drop down menu.

I exported the style from the original project and imported it into this new project.
You can see the style is not available in the dropdown, but the leading is "live" in the panel below.

Thanks for responding and providing great information.

I'm still testing the new text style browser and the leading issue you raise gets a bit complicated.

No problem, as you say, creating a style in 24.3.0 with leading. How it gets applies has some quirks (only applied if applied as a track style, not just a style for one caption)?

I have Beta 24.4.0.30, and there it is imported and was applied correctly (as a track style). I did not get the leading greyed out in any condition.

While it is not likely to be the issue, I would reset the workspace, and perhaps preferences, then repeat the test.

I'll keep testing, and eventually upgrade the Beta version.

Thanks again Stan,

The only issue seems to be with importing a saved preset (with leading specified) into a new project.

Then the leading specific style did not appear.

I could save a new style with leading adjusted, and apply it to captions in the new project, so this is not a major issue imho.
