.MOV clips on my timeline is laggy and doesn't play normally like it would. This happened June 24, 2025.
I'm normally editing as usual, this does not occut in the past and only took place after the last Premiere Pro update.
At first, i was able to play the .mov clips smoothly, but after i encountered an error saying "frame cannot be retrieved"... it became worse. Mp4 and other format of video clips are still working well and smoothly playing.
I tried every solution posted in the community but the problem still occurs until now.
The only solution i was able to make was convert the affected .mov clips to h264 to be able to finish my project.
However problem is still unresolved without going through the process of converting the clips.
I'm using Windows 11 Pro
Adobe Subscription
i5-14600K
40GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 8 GB
Below is a video document showing the playback lag i encountered with .mov clips. (audio is not recorded but does not have any problem at all.)

P.S.
I also noticed some bugs on keyboard shortcuts when using the text tool for captions.
For example: When i'm trying to type an uppercase "a" using shift+a, instead of typing an uppercase "a" the tool switches from text tool to Track Select Backward tool. Same with using the space bar to put spaces in words or letters, instead of just putting space, it also plays the timeline even if the timeline tab is not selected.
