OMF/AAF Renaming Files

Hey Adobe community,

I'm trying to turnover the sound to a documentary, using AAF or OMF. I'm working on a windows 11, intel i7-9700, 32 gb ram, and a geforce rtx 2070 Super. 

I have tried all the different output settings, even the bitrate to export (which I know this isn't going to change the result, but hey I had to try). All the outputs from AAF and OMF result in files that the names are changed. When the sound mixer tries to reconnect in Adobe Audition, it kind find the files because it's totally new names. Any help?

Kinda nonsensical that going from Premiere to Audition, would be so cumbersome.

@ChristianS. if you want to send your sequence from Premiere Pro to Audition for mixing, there's no need to use AAF. Instead, from Premiere Pro's Project panel right click on the sequence and choose: Edit in Adobe Audition > Sequence. This will create an Audition project for you, with all the media and effects sent over based on the settings you choose.

Thank you for the response! Would that work, in order to send to the soundmixer? I'm going to give it a shot now. Cause it's not I who will be mixing.

If your mixer is working in Audition then yes that should work just fine. If they are working in Pro Tools or another software, then AAF is the way to go.

 I sent over the folder and project that was created by Premiere after sending the sequence to Audition, and this is now the new error the sound mixer is getting on their end. Any suggestions @mattchristensen ?

If you want to open a Premiere Pro project in Audition to do a final mix, it is actually much easier than using OMF, or "Edit in Audition" workflow.  

Simply open Audition, then execute "File>Open..." and point to the Premiere Pro .prproj file and then the "Open" button.  Audition will then read the Premiere project, and present you with a dialog asking what sequences you want to open.  All edits, audio effects, and audio keyframes will be then opened in Audition.  Effectively, Audition can read Premiere project natively.

"Edit in Audition" workflow is just for legacy purposes at this point.
