P: The divider between videos is too light, making it hard to see where one ends and the next begins

In the latest version of Premiere Pro, the divider between videos has become light-colored, making it difficult to see where one ends and the next begins. Is there a way to fix this?

Here’s an example: minimize a video track and split it. The cut between the two segments turns light-colored, making it almost invisible. This makes it hard to distinguish the boundaries between the parts.

I know how to fix this — by increasing the track width, but that reduces the available space. Are there any other possible solutions?

@Stan37263142ehz7 This is unintentional and will be fixed in the next release. There is a fix already in the beta version. Thank you!

It's quite hard to see the cut when the layer in the timeline is small which i always use, but It's fine when in other size. Screenshot 2024-12-06 120611.pngScreenshot 2024-12-06 121119.png

New clip form is less friendly, since I have to zoom in to see cut.

Is there an option to turn off the rounded design? It doesn't add anything and, as mentioned, it means you can barely see cuts when you have your tracks on the shortest setting.

Honestly, I'm amazed by Adobe's ability to consistently make software worse. Well played.

It's hard to work in a minimized view because you can't see the "cuts" between files, i.e. where a given video file starts and ends.

In the enlarged view you show in the above example, the cuts are visible, so this problem doesn't occur.Zrzut ekranu 2024-12-5 o 12.07.18.pngZrzut ekranu 2024-12-5 o 12.07.30.png

It's hard to work in a minimized view because you can't see the "cuts" between files, i.e. where a given video file starts and ends. I stayed with ver. 25.0.0 because it's still the same, but it's impossible to work in the new version with a minimal view.

Please let us turn off rounded corners on the timeline. I've never felt strongly enough about an update to come speak here about it, and I've used premiere for over a decade now - this should tell you how bad of a forced addition this is. I've been working for a couple hours so far today and the negative space between clips is genuinely an eyesore.

Boundaries between clips are not visible when timeline tracks are minimized, have to expand the tracks to see the boundary edges between clips.

Hi James30579614e4o6,

Sorry about the poor experience. Could you please share a screenshot showing the issue with the minimized tracks? It will help us diagnose the issue properly.

Thanks,

Here is the issue in Premiere 25 - there is a very slight white "ghost" line between clips

Screenshot 2024-12-30 at 2.29.43 PM.png

Here is how the borders come back if you expand the track -

Screenshot 2024-12-30 at 2.30.36 PM.png

And here is how the minimized tracks of the same sequence looked in Premiere 24

Known issue: fixed in 25.2

For now, just expand the tracks a little bit.

Edit point on video tracks do not appear at minimum track height

1. Set video track to minium track height

What happened: Rounded corners dissapear. Edit point is very faint white. Colors of clip edges sort of blend together. Edit point is not distinguishable.

What should have happened: Edit point is visible.

Project is an updated project from version 24. Clips are multicam clips and not multicam clips
