Playhead and Program monitors freeze with an easy footage

Community Beginner ,
Apr 07, 2025 Apr 07, 2025

Just bought a brand new MacBook Pro M4 (14 CPU; 20 GPU), 24 RAM, 1 TB ssd.

Used to edit with an old Windows PC that had a compilation of Intel i5 9400f, GTX 1660 Super, 16 RAM and 256 GB Samsung SSD evo 970.

I work with the MP4 files of app. 2-3 hours lenght (1920x1080 60 FPS 5mbps).

Have never had any kind of an issue with the old Windows PC. Never freezed with that kind of content. And nowadays using a brend new MacBook Pro it freezes during the working process. I just could not believe that. It has some kinda thoughts that there might be an issue with the optizmization or something like that.  I am not even able to believe that there is an issue related to the perfomance of the MacBook Pro.

Any thoughts or solutions?

25.2 is ny version.

Hi @andrei_2928 -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.
Please see, How do I write a bug report?

Can you check your audio hardware settings and make sure Default Input is set to "No Input"

Do you have any third party panels, or plugins installed?
Sorry for the frustration.

I set to "No Input" now. I have Premiere Composer and a pack of motion presets.

Hi @andrei_2928 - Can you close your third party panels and let us know if that helps your issue.

seems like that the problem was with the 25.2 versios. At least it works now how it should by backing to the 25.1v. Do you have any kind of reports with the same issue on the 25.2v?
