Hi,

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with this weird issue I've been encountering for the past few weeks regarding the playhead and the cursor. I'll explain below, after the specs:

-Premiere Pro 24.1.0

-MacBookPro, Apple M1 Pro chip

-16GB Memory

-Sonoma 14.2.1

-Using SanDisk Extreme Pro 1 TB SSD with 745 GB available as the

-Storage: 326 GB available in computer

Here are the issues:

I do short news videos, usually 2-3 minutes long. While editing, I place the playhead where I want a clip to go. After I insert or overwrite, the playhead randomly jumps to a different section of the edit. Or, I set an in point, and when I try to set the out point, the moment I click where I want it, the playhead jumps randomly to a different spot, sometimes earlier, sometimes later in the timeline. This is happening more and more lately, making everything take almost twice as long because I have to keep redoing the ins and outs.

Second issue, which may or may not be related: the cursor simply disappears.  The only way to get it back is to save the project, close PP, and come back in.

I think it has to do with Premiere Pro 24, since I just updated a few weeks ago. I don't remember having these issues with 23 or 22.

Any advice?

Here is a quick video that shows what's happening. Notice that when I click on the timeline to insert an in point, the playhead jumps to a random spot. I didn't want to put this on youtube, so I Just put it in my Drive.
