Playing an SFX sound in Essential Sound adjusts audio level of all tracks in active sequence

Use the template below to provide us with information:

  • Issue: Playing/Previewing an SFX sound in Essential Sound panel sets audio level of all tracks in active sequence to -10.8.
  • Steps to reproduce
    1. Import 32 tracks
    2. Adjust audio level of each track to get them just perfect
    3. Set time in sequence panel to middle of 7th track
    4. Open Essential Sound panel
    5. Search for a sound
    6. Select SFX tab
    7. Play the sound
    8. Viola! All your track volumes have been 4uc236!
  • Expected result - Previewing a sound should preview the sound. THAT'S IT.
  • Actual result -  The volume of every track was set to -10.8
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version - 25.2.3 (Build 4)  (you should really think about making this copy-paste-able instead of having the about box disappear when user tries to highlight version in it)
  • Operating system - Windows 11 Pro - 24H2 - 26100.4061 - Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.84.0
  • Comparative information helps us understand more about when the issue occurs:
    • It's never happened before. I did just update version to 25.2.3 though.
    • Does it affect new projects? - I started this project a few hours ago.
    • When did the problem begin? - 10 minutes ago

Hi @AppFzx,

Sorry you are experiencing issues and thank you for submitting a bug report. I've been able to reproduce the problem and will notify the team. Is this happening if you untoggle 'Timeline sync' in the bottom left corner of the Essential Sound panel?

Sorry for ther frustration,

Dani
