Premiere Pro Crashes When I Try To Access Settings

Hi, Premiere Pro 24.5.0 (build 57) on MacOS keeps crashing when I try to access application settings from the Premiere Pro menu.

I'm on a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max in MacOS SOnoma 14.5.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have started Premiere with the option click and have used all the options there.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

If you copy your preferences somewhere safe, and launch PPro while holding down 'Cmd' and clear preferences, does PPro launch successfully?

OK, @JosephNilo, sorry about that. Have you tried pressing Shift at launch for the Reset Options dialog box? You can delete preferences there (caution: you'll lose custom settings), which could work. You can also try the other options there too, like deleting the media cache.

If Reset Options does not work, I recommend that you please contact us to troubleshoot one-on-one. Go here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html. Ask for the "video queue" once a live agent appears in the chat pod (lower

Can you share the contents of this plugin directory?

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/

That's the root /Library, not a User account's ~/Library.

I propose the following test:
Move everything from that directory Somewhere Safe™ (the Desktop is fine), and relaunch; any change in behavior? [hopefully fewer crashes...]

Hello @JosephNilo,

I read your post. Does Premiere Pro have full access to Files & Folders and Full Disk Access in Apple System Settings > Privacy & Security? Sorry for the frustration. I hope the team or the community can assist.

Thanks,
Kevin

Actually, it did not. I turned on Full Disk Access but the crashing continues.
