When previewing timeline the sequence plays fine but then when I pausse it the preview goes black. Only happens on MPEG4 file. Have all the latest drivers installed. I dont have the option to change what hardware to use to render. I have an A770 Intel Arc graphics card.

1. Premiere Pro 25

2. Windows 11 workstation

3. Import video file. Play then pause.

4. Expected result is for the preview to not go black.

Hi @R58,

Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums and sorry for the frustration. What exact version of Premiere Pro are you on and are you getting any System Compatibility warnings on application start-up?

Are you seeing this with other projects and did it coincide with any Windows or hardware updates? Are there any effects on the MP4 files or third-party plug-ins in use?

If you click on the wrench icon in the Program monitor, is your Paused Resolution set to 'Full'?

Hope we can help you soon,
Dani
