In the keyboard shortcuts menu, the "Export SRT" function from the Text panel is missing. Please fix this issue.

Thanks.

Hi @Males

and welcome to the Premiere Pro Forum community.  Thank you for taking your time to report a problem. Have you tried the Export Captions Keyboard shortcut? This should give you an srt file. Or you could also navigate to the Text panel, select the "Captions" tab, and then click the ellipsis (three dots) to access the export options. Choose ".srt" as the file format and save the file.

@Males,

I am also surprised that the shortcut is not there. But I looked back through my records, and it never was a shortcut. When the new caption workflow was introduced, only SRT and TXT were caption export options from the Text Panel. The shortcuts, but only for txt and csv, were there by Beta 23.5.0 Build 15. I have no idea why srt was not included. Perhaps it is because the File -> Export -> Captions shortcut that Ian refers to had been added.

In other words, it is a Feature request. Upvoted.

Note that File -> Export -> Captions only works (shortcut or otherwise) if captions exist and the timeline panel is in focus. It is unassigned by default. It does have the advantage of allowing you to deselect exporting styling with the srt.

Stan
