Sequence color space is wrong

When importing AE files with partial transparency, I notied that everything was extremely washed out. Tried everything I could, but when I changed the sequence color space to HGL, and then back to Rec. 709, the problem corrected itself. So now, every project I make I have to do this in order for my titles to show up and export correctly.

Could you let me know what type of AE file you are bringing in?  Also, what were your AE color settings before export?
