Set Poster Frame Does Not Work

Set Poster frame has not worked for quite a while now.  I have simple prores proxy files that refuse to stick to the poster frame I want it to stick to in thumnail view.  Can you guys fix this please.  I can't seem to find an answer to this issue, and I don't think this issue has been addressed or fixed in over a year....

@R.J. Cooper Which version of Premiere Pro are you using, and what steps are you taking to set the poster frame?

I'm having the same issue on Premiere v24.0. I updagred to 24.4.1 the problem still persists. I'm on Mac 13.4. I've tried in Rosetta and problem still persists.

Set Poster Frame will not work on clips, sequences, or Multicam sequences.

I hover over the clip in my project window, find a nice frame, and click "Set Poster Frame". Nothing happens-- the poster frame just remains the 1st frame of the clip.

I've tried reseting my preferences, reimporting, etc... nothing seems to work.

Before this I was cutting on 2022 for the last 2 years and never had this issue.

@ilivedinvegas Are you using a keyboard shortcut? What is it assigned to? Does it work if you do a right click > Set Poster Frame? I ask just because I tested on my two Macs just now and both seem to be working. Is it possible something else is also set to that keyboard shortcut on your system?

Both the keyboard shortcut and the right click do not work.

However, I've found that the keyboard shortcut for "Move Poster Frame 10
Frames Forward" does work. So I've been using that in the meantime.

• Adobe Premiere Pro version number: 24,6,3
• Operating system - Windows 10
• System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD:

  • CPU INtel i9

  • GPU (Intel-based Macs and PCs) Nvidia 4070

  • GPU driver (PC)  32.0.15.6094

  • RAM 64

  • Hard Drive SSD

• Video format:  Mp4 Video 29.97 
• Workflow details:  Use Icon View. Move icon frame to desired frame. Right click and select "Set Poster Frame"
• Steps to reproduce - Use Icon View. Move icon frame to desired frame. Right click and select "Set Poster Frame". Select next clip. Previous Clip reverts to first frame poster frame.  Go back, select clip, select frame, Use "Shift-P" to set poster frame. Select next clip, previous set clip reverts for first frame. 
  
• Expected result - When selecting the frame and using "Set Poster Frame" or "shift-P" the frame would stick. 
• Actual result -  Reverts to first frame.

Same issue on SOME of the clips - some work with setting new poster frame others revert back to first frame as soon as click off them.

Media is 4k (4096 x 2160) but several different frame rates: 23.976, 24, and 25 FPS - maybe should check if it is only happening on one of those frame rates?
